The trade name inspired by the yellow, black, and orange hues of this stone is a misnomer, as it is not a jasper at all (contains no quartz)! This volcanic crystal from Australia and Indonesia is a patchwork of hematite, calcite, sulfur*, arsenic*, and anhydrite. Those toxic* elements allude to the sting of its namesake and should be handled with care!
